World Heritages bestowed by nature, are the remaining essenceofcivilization. They are the priceless treasures that ourancestorshad center and will be passed on to the hands of thenextgeneration. Our newspaper arranged the publishing of thisWorldHeritage Special to celebrate the coming of the 28th SessionofWorld Heritage Committee. When mentioning World Heritage,we feel both proudandconcerned. The reason is simple.Mengzi, one of Chineseancientphilosophers once said″Life springs from sorrow andcalamity, deathcomes from ease and pleasure.″Concerns of the currentcondition mayprompt a series of aspiring activities in thefuture. We hopethat, after this session in Suzhou, our world filledwith such agreat amount of heritages, willpresent a more dazzlingand beautifulscene.
