菲律宾儿童刷出新纪录

　　近1.1万名菲律宾儿童周日（1月29日）齐聚马尼拉一个海滨公园并在同一时刻开始刷牙。主办者说，此举既为提醒人们注意牙齿健康，也为刷新同一时刻刷牙人数最多的吉尼斯世界纪录。

　　在187名牙医的指导下，来自8所学校的约10800名学生在黎刹公园同时刷牙近三分钟，然后将主办方提供的红帽子抛向空中。

　　US flight attendants on strike

　　Flight attendants at the nation's busiest airport protested on Monday against the relaxing of United States security restrictions that once again allowed passengers to bring small scissors and screwdrivers aboard planes.

　　Air attendant Susan Cosby said: "They have tak-en our safety and our security one step backwards. How can these items that once were viewed as potential weapons now be deemed safe?"
