On my English study
Hello everyone, My name is Liu YaJie. You can call me TiminEnglish. I am now14years old.
I started to learn English when I was about5years old. I havebeenlearning English for almost10years. Looking back on the daysof myEnglish learning, I have to say that I have given up a lot ofmyfree time and have endured great hardship. But now I feel thatit’ sall worth the pain. As my teacher and my parents would oftentellme,No pains, no gains .
Given the time difference, I actually started English learningatan early age. In those days, not many children began theirEnglishlearning so early.They normally began at8 or10.But my father hada better vision. He knew English would become importantinfuture.So, he pushed me hard and sometimes threatened to beatmewith a stick which he centerfully called JiaFa .For fear ofmyfather’ s JiaFa , I had to do what he had in mind forme. Now,Ihave to say that I am much grateful to my father. I didn’ tshedany sweat in vain.
Nearly10years of English learning have made me confidentandstrong. I have participated in several competitions and havewonhonors for myself and for the school I love. I won the firstprizein the National Quality －oriented Education and EnglishProficiencyCompetition. I also scored91points in the speaking testof AdultSelf－study Education Test..我的英语学习历程
大家好！我叫刘亚杰。我的英文名字叫TIM。我今年14岁。我5岁起开始学习英语,至今已有近10年了。回顾我的英语学习历程,我由衷的想告诉大家我牺牲了许多本应该玩耍的时间,也经历了许多的艰苦。但是我现在认为我的这些付出都是值得的。正如我的老师及父母经常教导我的那样没有付出就没有收益。
考虑到时代的不同,我的英语学习在当时是起步很早的。那时的儿童一般在8至10岁时才开始学英语。我父亲更有眼光。他知道英语将来会很重要。因此,他逼着我学英语。有时他甚至拿那个被他理直气壮的称为家法的小棍棒来威胁我。因为惧怕他的 家法,我只好按照他的意图去做。现在回想起来我不得不说我得感谢我的父亲。我的努力没有白付出。
近10年的英语学习使我成为一个自信,坚强的少年。我近几年参加了许多英语比赛,并且为自己及我所热爱的学校赢得了荣誉。我在第四届全国中小学生素质教育英语知识能力竞赛初一年级组比赛中获得一等奖。我还参加了成人英语自学口语考试并得到91分。
