大三巴牌坊 Ruins of St．Paul＇s

　　The Ruins of St．Paul＇s refer tothemagnificentgranitefacadeofwhatwasoriginallytheChurchofMaterDei，builtin1603－1640．

　　Theconstructionofthegranitefacadeitselfwasonlyfinishedbetween1637－1640，afterthecompletionofthechurchstructure．

　　In1835，afiredestroyedtheentirecomplex，includingSt．Paul＇sCollegeandtheChurchofMaterDei，leavingonlytheimpressivegranitefacadethatis，perhaps，themostrecognizableMonumentofMacao．
