Qualcomm plans to cut more than 1,000 employees in San Diego

据外媒报道，高通的职员周三透露，该公司将在圣地亚哥采取裁员措施。这些职员透露，他们估测高通此次裁员的人数将达1000人以上，从管理层以下的各个级别的员工都将受到波及。

Qualcomm’s staff revealed on Wednesday that the company will take layoff measures in San Diego. It is estimated that the number of Qualcomm layoffs will reach more than 1,000, and all levels of employees including management will be affected.

由于中兴通讯公司将被执行为期7年的出口禁令，这意味着7年内美国企业不能向中兴提供产品。此消息同样对部分美国公司造成打击，对于美国企业来说，切断与中兴的贸易往来，损失也很大。

Because ZTE Corporation has been implemented a seven-year export ban on the company, which means that U.S. companies cannot provide products to ZTE within seven years, strike U.S. companies as well. For U.S. companies, cutting their trade contacts with ZTE has also caused huge losses.

市场调研公司Canalys预计，超过65%的中兴通讯智能手机采用的是高通的移动处理器。对去年营收为220亿美元的高通而言，失去中兴通讯的芯片业务或许只是开始。

Market research company Canalys, predicts that more than 65% of ZTE smartphones use Qualcomm's mobile processors. For Qualcomm, which had a revenue of 22 billion U.S. dollars last year, the loss of ZTE’s chip business may only be the prelude.

中信资本完成收购TIL集团

CITIC  Capital  Completes  Acquisition  of  TIL

中信资本控股有限公司旗下的中国私募并购基金（以下简称“中信资本”）宣布，已经完成收购新西兰领先的知名天然护肤及家居香薰品牌集团TIL集团。

CITIC Capital China Partners, the private equity arm of CITIC Capital Holdings Limited (“CITIC Capital”),   announced that it has successfully completed the acquisition of Trilogy International Limited (“TIL Group”), a leading New Zealand-based company that owns several well-known natural beauty care and home fragrance brands.

TIL集团原为新西兰和澳大利亚的上市公司，收购完成之后，已从这两个国家的股票市场退市。

Pursuant to the completion, TIL Group has been delisted from New Zealand’s and Australia’s stock exchanges, respectively.

道达尔支持联合国道路安全信托基金

Total supports to create the UN   Road Safety Trust Fund.

道达尔集团日前宣布，公司将大力支持启动联合国道路安全信托基金。作为创始成员，道达尔将向该预防基金捐赠100万美元。

Total has pledged its support to create the United Nations Road Safety Trust Fund. As a founding member, Total will contribute $1 million to this prevention fund.

通过道达尔基金会，集团的捐赠将助力联合国实现在2020年将全球道路交通事故死亡人数减少一半的可持续发展目标。

Total’s pledge, under the scope of Total Foundation, is a contribution to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal which aims to halve the number of global deaths and injuries from road traffic accidents by 2020.

道达尔董事长兼首席执行官潘彦磊表示，“安全是道达尔集团的价值观之一，而预防道路交通事故更是重中之重。

“Safety is one of the Group’s values, and prevention of road traffic accidents is a priority commitment,” stated Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO.

IBELIVE项目开发新型化光学元器件

IBELIVE  project working on new optical components

日前，欧司朗宣布参与IBELIVE研究项目，与合作伙伴共同开发小型化光学元器件。IBELIVE是由德国联邦教育及研究部资助，研发适用于数据可视化及照明应用的极为紧凑纤薄的光学元器件的前瞻性研究项目。

Osram recenly joined the IBELIVE research project and started working on new optical components with partners.The purpose of the IBELIVE project, which is being funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF), is to deliver universal processes for space-critical applications.

该项目集结了包括欧司朗光电半导体、弗劳恩霍夫应用光学和精密工程研究所、TEMICON 和大陆集团在内的研发联盟，将历时三年。

Together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering, TEMICON and Continental, Osram Opto Semiconductors has been working  on the development of extremely compact and low-profile optical components for data visualization or illumination. It is set to run for three years.

该联盟研究如何为紧凑型需求的应用提供通用工艺。项目覆盖了从光学元件研发到量产、以及样品应用中新技术测试在内的整个增值链。

The defined objective of the consortium is to develop particularly compact multifunctional optical components.The project covers the entire value-added chain from the development of optics and volume production to testing of the new technology in sample applications.

In the course of the project the consortium will investigate flexible design and manufacturing processes for space-critical applications for data visualization or illumination.

The planned reduction in the thickness of the optical elements and the combinability of various optical functionalities in a microstructure will give designers much greater flexibility in integrating the components in the devices.

Another benefit is an improvement in energy efficiency, as a much greater proportion of the generated light can be used for the applications.

空客与卓达宇航日前开始合作研发和销售带有乘客卧铺的低层模块。

Airbus and Zodiac Aerospace have partnered to develop and market lower-deck modules with passenger sleeping berths.

这些模块将装在飞机的货舱内，为乘客提供额外服务的新机会，同时为航空公司的商业运营增添价值并实现差异化。新的乘客模块将在常规过站期间与正常货运集装箱之间轻松互换。

The modules, which would fit inside the aircraft’s cargo compartments, offer new opportunities for additional services to passengers,  while enabling airlines to differentiate and add value for their commercial operations. The new passenger modules will be easily interchangeable with regular cargo containers during a typical turnaround.

改善乘客体验是当今航空公司差异化运营的关键因素。这种商业航空旅行的方式是朝着乘客舒适度迈进的重要一步。

Zodiac Aerospace says that an improved passenger experience is today a key element of differentiation for airlines.This approach to commercial air travel is a step change towards passenger comfort.

航空公司最初将能够在2020年之前在A330飞机上选择认证的解决方案目录，既可适用于全新生产的A330，也可进行改装。

Airlines will be initially be able to choose from a catalogue of certified solutions by 2020 on A330 for retrofit and line-fit markets. 

据了解，在A350XWB宽体飞机上提供卧铺模块也正在研究中。

Offerability of sleeper compartments on the A350 XWB airliner is also being studied.
