　　当地时间8月1日，美国总统特朗普在白宫草坪接受媒体提问时表示，香港出现的riots（暴动）已经持续一段时间了，他不知道中方的态度是什么，但指出那是中国内地和香港之间的事情，因为香港就是中国的一部分。特朗普还表示，中国会自行处理香港的事情，他无需给与建议。

　　Hong Kong police arrested 8 people suspected of possessing offensive weapons and explosives at Haribest Industrial Building， and found napalm bombs， bows and arrows， softball clubs， amplifiers and body armor。

　　Radical forces held protests outside three police stations。 24 police officers were attacked or splashed with acid by protesters outside the Kwai Chung police station and five have been admitted to the hospital。

　　《环球时报》记者收到一段现场视频，视频中显示，两名警察被近百人围住并殴打，还有暴徒向警察投掷不明物体，一名警察挥舞警棍自卫，一名白衣警察则不得已举起手上的枪瞄准暴徒予以警告。在警察被围殴后，外围的暴徒还用激光笔照射，试图使警察丧失防卫能力。
