复旦大学副校长、人类表型组研究院院长金力院士荣获国际人类基因组组织颁发的“卓越科学成就奖”
2019年4月26日，在韩国首尔召开的国际人类基因组大会（Human Genome Meeting，HGM 2019）上，复旦大学副校长、复旦大学人类表型组研究院院长金力院士荣获由国际人类基因组组织（Human Genome Organisation，HUGO）颁发的卓越科学成就奖。会议期间，金力院士受邀做了题为“从基因组到表型组”的大会特邀报告。

当天，金力院士受邀接收了美国杰克逊实验室（Jackson Laboratory）《研究通讯》副主任、科学作家Mark Wanner的采访，主要就其在人类遗传与进化、人类基因组、人类表型组等领域的研究，以及共同发起国际人类表型组联盟（International Human Phenome Consortium, IHPC）等工作进行了交流。采访专题文章将分别发布于HUGO官方媒体及美国杰克逊实验室官方网站。
关于金力院士
金力院士是我国著名的人类遗传与进化遗传学家，是国际人类基因组计划的重要参与者、国际人类单倍型计划的推动者、泛亚SNP计划的组织者之一以及国际人类表型组联盟发起者之一。他长期研究人类群体的遗传多样性和人类表型的进化机制。在分子进化、重复片段位点和连锁不平衡等领域创新性地发展了多个理论和方法；在基因组水平深入解析了东亚人群的遗传多样性特征，阐明了东亚人群表型适应性变异的分子遗传学基础；为研究人类表型的进化机制和疾病的遗传易感性提出了新思路和新策略，推动了进化遗传学和疾病遗传学的发展。
关于国际人类基因组组织（HUGO）及其卓越科学成就奖
国际人类基因组组织（HUGO）成立于1989年，是国际人类基因组计划实施的国际协调机构，旨在促进和协调全球人类基因组的研究工作，制定统一标准，促进交流与合作，是一个致力于通过人类基因组计划实现全球人类基因组测序和绘图的国际非盈利性学术组织。
国际人类基因组大会（HGM）是由国际人类基因组组织（HUGO）主办的一年一度的全球性学术盛会。HUGO每年在全球范围内遴选出一位在生物医学等研究领域具有卓越贡献和国际影响力的科学家，授予其卓越科学成就奖。
金力院士被授予HUGO卓越科学成就奖，是对金力院士在人类基因组和人类表型组等领域所做贡献的高度认可，是我国科学家的荣誉和骄傲。

Vice President of Fudan University Dr. JIN Li was awarded the CHEN AWARD 2019 FOR DISTINGUISHED ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT IN HUMAN GENETIC AND GENOMIC RESEARCH
The Human Genome Meeting 2019 was held  in Seoul, South Korea from Apr 24th to 26th. During the meeting, Dr. JIN Li, the Vice President of Fudan University and Director of Human Phenome Institute, was awarded the Chen Award for Distinguished Academic Achievement in Genetic and Genomic Research (2019) by the Human Genome Organisation (HUGO).

Dr. JIN Li was invited to present the plenary lecture titled From Genome to Phenome
On April 26th, Dr. JIN Li was invited to receive an interview with Mark Wanner, the associate director of Research Communications and a scientific writer from Jackson Laboratory, to discuss the work in human genome, human phenome, and the launching of International Human Phenome Consortium (IHPC). The interview articles will be published at the HUGO website via Twitter and Facebook as well as the JAX news.
About Dr. JIN Li
Dr. JIN Li, an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a famous human geneticist in China, as well as an active participant in the International Human Genome Project, a co-organizer of the Pan-Asian SNP Program, and a co-founder of International Human Phenome Consortium (IHPC). He systematically investigated the genetic diversity of human population, including genetic structure, population differentiation, migration route, population mixing and environmental adaptation of East Asians. He also studied the complex evolutionary relationship among gene-phenotype-environment and revealed the evolutionary mechanisms underlying the human phenome.
About HUGO and the CHEN AWARD
The Human Genome Organisation (HUGO) was founded in 1989, is an international non-profit academic organization of scientists involved in human genetics. HUGO has played an essential role behind the scenes for the International Human Genome Project over the years. Its mission is to promote international collaborative efforts to study the human genome and the myriad issues raised by our increasing knowledge of the genome.
The Human Genome Meeting (HGM) is a series of annual conferences organized by HUGO, and one recipient of the Chen Award for Distinguished Academic Achievement in Genetic and Genomic Research is selected each year and announced by HUGO during the Human Genome Meeting to celebrate the biomedical achievement of the awardee. 
Dr. JIN Li was awarded the Chen Award for Distinguished Academic Achievement in Human Genetic and Genomic Research this year, speaking highly of Dr. JIN Li’s extraordinary contribution to the human genomics field and the new insights into human phenome study, which was perceived by the international scientific community.
