生活在一个2400万人口的城市里是什么感受？美国小哥亚历克斯表示：没什么，就是太大了，有趣的故事太多了。

　　Alex Greenberg moved to the massive metropolis of Shanghai some years ago and fell in love with it. Overwhelmed by the sheer number of stories that can be told in such a vast city, particularly the weird and wonderful texts found on people's clothing, he decided to start a website where he could document the quirks and oddities of everyday life there, which he called Shanghai Observed. The page now has nearly 70k followers, and people can't get enough of his shrewd sightings.

　　几年前亚历克斯搬到了上海这个庞大的大都市，并爱上了它。这个大城市每天上演的无数故事都让他觉得真是太有意思了，尤其是在人们的衣服上发现的奇怪和美妙的文字。于是他决定开个账号，记录那里日常生活中的各种稀奇古怪的事，账号名字为“上海观察”。目前已经有将近7万的粉丝了，他挑选故事的独到眼光简直让人爱不释手。

　　小哥表示随着中国经济和世界影响力的不断增长，西方国家将逐渐熟悉这一浩瀚而古老文明的语言、文化和生活方式。任何曾经来过中国的人都会告诉你，中国真的是一个令人兴奋的、多元的、独特的国家！

　　Living in such a different and interesting place means that he is never short of material, and he finds himself confronted with all kinds of surprises every single day. "I’ve been in Shanghai for 4 years and I love how fast the city moves," Alex told Bored Panda.

　　而生活在上海这样一个多元而有趣的地方，意味着他永远不会缺乏素材，每天他都能发现各种各样的惊喜。亚历克斯对Bored Panda说：“我已经在上海待了4年了，我喜欢这座城市的快节奏。”

　　"Shanghai has a great skate scene which is what drove me to move here in the first place. It's an amazing city to explore and stumble across startled circumstances that defy explanation."

　　“上海有一个超大的溜冰场，这是我最初想要搬来这儿的原因。这里的环境令人震撼，很难用语言表达出那种震撼。这是个值得探索的了不起的城市。”

　　但更多的人表示自己也想来中国看一看。讲起设立这个账号的另一个初衷，亚历克斯又开始滔滔不绝了。他说：

　　"I started the account in November 2016. I made the account because I had just gotten a new iPhone 7, and it took surprisingly great photos. I also wanted to start a daily photo project. The daily photo project was focused on forcing me to shoot more street photography and shoot photos that would show daily life in Shanghai. Stuff my friends and family would be interested in seeing."

　　“我在2016年11月开了这个账号。因为我刚买了一部新的iPhone7，拍出来的照片无敌棒。我还想做一个每日摄影项目，好激励自己多出去扫街，拍出能反映上海日常生活的照片，我的朋友和家人也会想看这样的东西。”

　　"I'm guessing 99% of the time these people have no idea what the shirt says because they don’t speak English. This makes for an amazing photo because you often see a great juxtaposition between what the person's face says, and what the shirt says. I love photos and videos that instantly make you laugh or question what is happening. Shanghai seems to share that every day."

　　“我猜这些人99%不知道衬衫上写着什么，因为很多人不会说英语。这样就能经常拍出令人惊叹的照片，因为你经常会看到人们的表情和衬衫上的字毫无违和感。我喜欢这些能让你一看就笑出来或是想知道发生了什么的照片和视频。上海似乎每天都在发生这样的事。”
