北京时间8月4日，在巴黎奥运会乒乓球男子单打金牌赛中，中国选手樊振东战胜瑞典选手，夺得金牌。樊振东也成为了世界乒坛第六位男子大满贯选手。

In the final, against the “dark horse“ Moregard, who had eliminated Wang Chuqin, he made a comeback after losing the first set, winning four consecutive sets and ultimately defeating his opponent 4-1.
从2016年19岁首次获得乒乓球世界杯男单冠军开始，樊振东历经8年，终于集齐了世界乒坛三大赛的冠军。这期间的失利、挫折，在如今的樊振东看来，都成了走向成功所必需的积累。夺冠后，教练王皓与樊振东紧紧相拥，两代国乒人的心愿跨越20年，在那一刻达成了圆满。
