10月29日，在巴勒斯坦民族权力机构主席阿拉法特位于约旦河西岸城市拉姆安拉的官邸，巴勒斯坦士兵和民众向阿拉法特乘坐的直升机挥手告别。阿拉法特乘坐约旦军用直升机抵达约旦安曼后将转机前往巴黎接受更为全面的治疗。
