　　A huge earthquake measuring at least 7.6 on the Richter Scalehitnorthern P-akistan and India on Saturday.

　　The quake struck at 0350 GMT with its epicenter around95kilometers northea-st of Islamabad,causing widespread panic inthePakistani capital.

　　The quake was felt across northern and eastern Pakistan,as wellasin the Indian-controlled zone of the disputed territoryofKashmir.It was also felt in the Af-ghan capital Kabul.

　　The US Geological Survey and the PakistanMeteorologicalDepartment saidthe quake measured 7.6on the RichterScale,while theJapanese Meteorologica-l Agency put the temblor at7.8.

　　巴基斯坦北部和印度周六发生了震级至少为里氏7.6级的强烈地震。

　　地震发生于格林尼治时间3点50分，震中位于巴基斯坦首都伊斯兰堡东北方向大约95公里处，在那里造成了大范围的恐慌。
